WORD OF THE DAY
Beamish • \BEEM-ish\ • Adjective – Beaming and bright with optimism, promise, or achievement
Roberto’s speech droned on. He desperately tried to engage individual members of his entranced audience to respond to his treatise on the affects of granular sand in underwear. Unfortunately, his presentation didn’t register with anyone in the assembly, except for the beamish countenance of his lovely wife Sally, who would have been enthralled with any presentation uttered by Roberto, including his recitation of debit slip totals while balancing the checkbook.
