WORD OF THE DAY
Bruit • \BROOT\ • noun – 1: noise, din 2: report, rumor
The bruit surrounding the departure of the CEO of “Hai Karate” bubbled down the cubicle rows like a surging tide, its progression marked by the increasing noise of whispering, guttural gossip as it moved towards the end of the business floor. Seems the “fearless leader” had shunned the distinctive fragrance at a recent board meeting…replacing its mandated use (mysteriously for men AND women) with the “great smell of Brut.”
