WORD OF THE DAY

Jocose • \joh-KOHSS\ • Adjective - 1: given to joking: merry 2: characterized by joking: humorous

Wine flowed like water, and humorous anecdotes were shared around the dinner table as Fred’s jocose uncle blew through town for one of his legendary visits. Each year he brought a veritable smorgasbord of new jokes and stories he was ferrying secretly across the nation’s heartland to New York City…items that inevitably showed up on the “Jack Benny Radio Show.” Little did his family know the dark side of the joke business, as these laugh bombs were extracted from “clown farms” hidden away in the vast wastelands of northern Nevada, near the Ruby Lake Wildlife Refuge.
