WORD OF THE DAY
Marplot
• \MAR-plott\ • Noun - One who frustrates or ruins a plan or undertaking by
meddling
Barnabas
never intended to be the corporate marplot. It seemed every time he took the
initiative on a project, it went all wrong (kind of like the “Turkey Drop” from
WRKP in Cincinnati). Even plausible deniability eluded the poor sap as he
loudly proclaimed the “progress” of his projects in memo, email, Twitter feeds,
Facebook, YouTube and just about any other megaphone like self-puffery. It
never failed that just when he predicted success, his projects fell off the
face of the earth…remembered only in faint internet echoes.
