WORD OF THE DAY

Recondite • \RECK-kun-dyte\ • Adjective - 1: hidden from sight: concealed 2: difficult or impossible for one of ordinary understanding or knowledge to comprehend: deep 3: of, relating to, or dealing with something little known or obscure

Harvey Brandeis reveled in his talent of knowing things unknown to others. His skill was such that for his office mates, his presence was not unlike wearing a woolen shirt…without underwear. It irritated, but had to be endured. Every utterance from Harvey that began with “did you know that…” was met with eye rolling and sighs. The main irritant was not so much the little bits of information, but the inability to fact check the recondite factoids.
