WORD OF THE DAY

Rhadamanthine • \rad-uh-MAN-thun\ • Adjective - Rigorously strict or just.

“Flexibility in interpretation be darned,” hooted the old west judge to the unrepentant horse thief. “You may NOT drink yourself to death. The law says ye shall be hanged by the neck until dead.” Since the town already had a “hanging judge,” the literal jurist was known in the tiny Wyoming town as the Rhadamanthine Justice. Only the local newspaper editor knew what that meant. Everyone else thought that it was an east coast town from whence the tough judge came.
