“Flying Fig”
From the Free Dictionary online: not care/give a fig
(old-fashioned) – If you say that you don’t care a fig, you mean that something
or someone is not important to you at all. The use of “flying” is just something
that accentuates the idiom. “Fig” is a euphemism for that very common
four-letter word starting with “f”, and you are more likely to hear this idiom
used nowadays with that word, rather than “fig”.
“I don’t give a flying fig about your tiddlywinks
collection,” brayed Albert to his companion. “Now, take those colored plastic disks
away. They annoy me.”
