CLARK PUBLIC UTILITIES’ BEKKEDAHL HIRED BY BPA – Larry Bekkedahl, formerly director of engineering and technical services at Clark Public Utilities, will join the Bonneville Power Administration on Thursday as the regional electricity marketer's vice president of engineering and technical services. Bekkedahl joined Clark Public Utilities in 2001, after 20 years with other Northwest utilities. Bekkedahl will hold one of five vice president positions in BPA's transmission services division. He will manage the division's capital construction program and its 2008 budget of more than $300 million. The six branch managers who will report to Bekkedahl supervise BPA's land acquisitions and agreements; transmission lines, substation and control and communication engineering; construction project management; as well as the agency's commissioning and testing activities.
