WORD OF THE DAY

Bandy • \BAN-dee\ • noun – 1: to bat (as a tennis ball) to and fro 2a: to toss from side to side or pass about from one to another often in a careless or inappropriate manner b: exchange; especially: to exchange (words) argumentatively c: to discuss lightly or banteringly d: to use in a glib or offhand manner

Adjective - 1 of legs: bowed 2: bowlegged

The diminutive, bandy-legged auctioneer tried valiantly to inject himself into the conversation between his peers. Regardless of his efforts, he couldn’t get a word in edgewise as the tobacco auctioneer and his art-house companion bandied words about like so many bubbles of champagne on a party night at Bernie’s.
