WORD OF THE DAY

Abhor • \ub-HORR\ • Verb - To regard with extreme repugnance: loathe.

The greasy smell of the fresh-cut French Fries wafted through the diner…the sparkly vinyl seats showing their age through an accumulation of grease and spilled catsup that would probably need carbon dating to determine their relative ages. Although the local eatery was well-known for its fries and burgers, its coffee…not so much. The owner of the business had been fascinated by a story he had read about civet cat coffee. His unfortunate experiment to see if he could similarly create “house-cat” coffee in the same manner ended disastrously. Along with a highly wired feline, he determined that his cat’s abhorrence of whole coffee beans could not be overcome. Good for the cat…good for the owner…VERY good for the customers.
