Walter Mitty sat perfectly still at his desk, the light from the open transom slanting across his delicate features and projecting a perfect silhouette on the opposite wall. His oneiric expression hid the adventuresome images that made up his afternoon daydreams. Of course, with Virginia Mayo as his damsel in distress, you could pretty much say that he visited his dreamlike state whenever he could.
