Alfredo was confused by his employer’s misreading of a complex contract with a new client. Although he had peppered the document with nota bene references to an extensive appendix, the warnings never got through. Unbeknownst to ‘Fredo, his boss misunderstood the references. The executive thought “NB” notes in the document’s margins were bizarre doodlings about “New Brunswick, Canada”.
