Gullible • \GULL-uh-bull\ • Adjective - Easily duped or
cheated
Freddy was having way too much fun taunting seagulls during
his holiday at Dover, England. He laughed maniacally, his mullet whipping from
under his baseball cap in the “Channel” breeze as the gullible gulls darted
towards the enticing scones Fred was wildly waving to catch their attention.
Unfortunately for Fred, the fun came to a screeching halt within five minutes,
as the birds’ efforts to obtain food became the aviary version of the “Battle
of Britain.” The German bombing runs of 1940 were trifles compared to the
bombing runs inflicted on Fred; who retreated to his rented “Ford Prefect” to
avoid further humiliation from the unerringly accurate seagulls.
